April 2017

20th-23rd. Showers rapidly spread in from the West quickly followed by clearing skies.
24th-27th. Stormy weather arrives by the 27th.
28th-30th. Rough weather continues.

May 2017

1st-3rd. Clear to partly cloudy skies.
4th-7th. Light showers followed by fair skies.
8th-11th. Heavy rain spreads into the Great Lakes.
12th-15th. Thunderstorms.
16th-19th. Showers in the Great Lakes followed by fair and cool weather.
20th-23rd. Fair skies for Victoria Day holiday.
24th-27th. Agitated atmospheric conditions are followed by fair skies.
28th-31st. Fair weather gives way to unsettled skies.

June 2017

1st-3rd. Rain and showers.
4th-7th. Potent thunderstorms as far as western Ontario area by the 7th.
8th-11th. Few lingering showers.
12th-15th. Showers rapidly spread in from the West, and then just as rapidly move out followed by a clearing trend.
16th-19th. Fair, followed by increasingly cloudy skies.

If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1919, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
